Methans Haus

Methans House – The House of Stories is truly something special. It is a small private museum. The current owner, Leopold Methans, a stonemason from Spodnja Velka, purchased this over 200-year-old building (which once served as an inn) and turned his personal passion for preserving cultural heritage into reality. On the ground floor, he arranged gallery spaces for meetings of artists and writers, as well as for various lectures and workshops. The first floor is dedicated to ethnological collections, including a bedroom furnished with a double bed and wardrobe, several sewing machines, old family photographs, books, newspapers, and magazines. In the cellar, there is also an exhibition area used for special occasions.
