European Best Destinations (EBD) ranked Štajerska an outstanding 3rd among the 20 most desirable European destinations for 2026, based on votes from tourism professionals and more than 1.3 million international travelers.
Madrid took first place, followed by Nicosia in second, while Štajerska—supported by remarkable international backing—secured third place, surpassing globally renowned destinations such as Verona, Paris, Madeira, and Lisbon.
By being named among the top three destinations in Europe in the “European Best Destinations 2026” selection, Štajerska gains an internationally recognized label that strengthens its global visibility, enhances competitiveness in key international markets, and positions the region among must-visit destinations for travelers seeking high-quality and authentic European experiences.
