Makole

Makole is located in the Dravinja Valley on the western edge of the Haloze at the mouth of the Jelovšek Creek. In the past, Makole had a coal mine in Šega, a brick factory in Remont, a sawmill in Dravinja, a blacksmith, water mills for grinding flour and many small craftsmen in the village. Today, Makole is a tourist-attractive municipality with great potential for development.
