In the heart of Maribor lies one of Europe’s largest and oldest traditional wine cellars, covering 15,000 m² with 2.1 km of underground tunnels. The oldest part of the cellar was built back in 1847. Wooden barrels, concrete tanks, bottles with a time-worn wine patina… together they hold an impressive total capacity of 3 million litres!

The cellar’s most precious highlight is its wine archive, and every journey into “Maribor’s underground” is perfectly crowned with a memorable wine tasting.
