In the heart of the Škalce vineyards above Slovenske Konjice — a town rich in natural and cultural heritage — you will find the Zlati grič wine cellar. On 70 hectares of uniquely arranged vineyard parcels, we continue the 800-year tradition of grape cultivation and contribute to shaping the distinctive landscape above the town of flowers and wine.
The Zlati grič Wine Cellar is one of the most modern wine cellars in this part of Europe. Much of the cellar is built into the hillside, allowing it to blend almost seamlessly into the landscape. The cellar and vineyards are located in one of the most picturesque wine regions of Slovenia — Škalce. Our doors are always open to anyone wishing to take a closer look inside.
We offer a variety of tasting arrangements, tailored to the size of your group, the number of samples, and the desired wine pairings. You can try our regularly awarded sparkling wines, fresh wines, oak-aged wines, and special-quality wines — selected drops that embody knowledge, natural conditions, and love for viticulture. A unique feature of our sparkling wines is that they mature in the historic wine cellar of the nearby Žiče Charterhouse, one of the most important Carthusian monasteries in Central Europe, built in the 12th century.
You can elevate your experience with an overnight stay in the vineyard manor from the 15th century, where comfort meets historic charm, offering breathtaking views of the vineyards and surrounding countryside. Golf enthusiasts can test their skills on our 9-hole course, which provides challenges for both seasoned players and beginners. Round off your visit with culinary delights at Gostilna Zlati grič.
In the immediate vicinity of the wine cellar and restaurant, in a commanding location amidst the vineyards, stands the Vineyard Manor, built in the 15th century. Marked by a rich history, it is today proudly preserved as a cultural monument. Inside, three beautiful apartments have been arranged, accommodating up to 10 guests in total. The apartments are 3-star rated, spacious, and tastefully renovated.
In the idyllic setting of the Škalce vineyards lies a 9-hole golf course. Thanks to its natural features, it is exceptionally dynamic and completely surrounded by vineyards. The course is enriched with water hazards and numerous trees, while the fairways and greens are always very well maintained. The course is usually open from March to November.
